Abstract

Water resources management has not been successful in allocating and saving water in the agricultural sector, and perhaps it is time to consciously and purposefully shift investments and budget allocations from water resources activities towards technologies and interventions that both ensure real reductions in water consumption and bring productivity and sustainability (Economic, social, livelihood, authority, job creation, technological development).
